Now in its 7th year, the Portuguese Film Festival – also known as UTOPIA – brought the most relevant films in contemporary Portuguese cinema to London.
Directed by Portuguese-born Érica Faleiro Rodrigues, the festival happened between 25 November and 8 December. It showcased films about Portuguese culture and its recent history, including A Woman’s Revenge, Letters from War and Tabu.
The annual film festival took place in different venues across the city, including the Genesis Cinema and Birkbeck College, where Érica works as a Film Researcher.
The Little Portugal team attended the festival and spoke to Érica about the ideas behind the festival and its future.
